Know What's In Your Hair Products

Did you know that most “color protecting” shampoos contain sulfates or salts that can strip hair color? Or that most products contain 65% water? What about the story that says cutting your hair will make it grow thicker?

The truth is that almost all non-professional hair products and even some professional products contain sulfates and 65% water. Sulfates are usually listed as ammonium lauryl sulfate under ingredients and give shampoos their lather when added with water. Master’s Touch carries product lines that are sulfate free and only contain 20% water.

Also, cutting you hair doesn’t make it grow in thicker because hair growth takes place inside the scalp. Hair it is already dead by the time it grows out of the scalp. So what’s best for thinning hair?
